Tally-Ho: Away We Flow

“I take to the open road. Healthy free, the world before me.” (Walt Whitman)

As the fall season returns, I’m noticing again that familiar urge to travel. Of course this personal choice to “hit the road” again never seems easy as decisions must be made amid family/health issues as well the current spread of the pandemic. Nevertheless, Ruth and I know our road trip routine well and thus ride a wave of optimism for our latest cross country journey embarking from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to coastal California and back. I’m also pleased to share with you our latest clockwise itinerary on the above U.S. map featuring twenty one numbered destinations along the way. 1. I can only imagine all the wonderful places one can see and experience on such a magnificent trip! I’ve dreamed many times about driving along the cliffs that overlook the Pacific with the windows down. A road trip is more than just getting from point A to point B. It’s about a thrilling, spontaneous journey. You can stop when and where you want, taking in as much of the scenery as you can, while cranking up the music to match the landscape (and fueling up on gas station snacks). Happy travels 🙂 Aiva

  2. Howdy James and Ruth!

While I’m green with envy for your upcoming road trip, I’m wishing you all the best! You’ve got some great spots planned. The Grand Canyon! DC! Two of the greatest places in the States to visit. Looking forward to following your adventures and seeing your pictures.

May the road rise to meet you and the wind be at your back.

    Huzzah!
